Mountain View With A Dominant Region Win.

Catalina foothills controls the tip. Mykael Nunez is called for a foul. The Falcons inbound and miss the shot. Daniel Anumba gets the rebound he gets the shot up misses and again with the rebound and knocks it down for two.

Falcons with another miss the following possession. Isaiah Gill drives the lane and makes the two point layup. The Falcons with possession and Jack Van Amburg kicks it out to Albert Efentyev and he makes the corner three. Daniel Anumba misses a three and the ball is rebounded by Van Amburg. Isaiah Gill gets a steal, nice little Euro step and he sinks the floater through contact but misses the free throw. Falcons miss and again Anumba gets the rebound he finds Isaiah Gill and Gill gets fouled. Mountain Lions inbound, Daniel Anumba misses but get his rebound and misses again. The Falcons recover it and Cam Storie makes a three for the Falcons. Mykael Nunez answers back with a three for the Mountain Lions. The following possession Cesar Feria scores a two  and then gets a steal on the following possession. He  passes it to Isaiah Gill for the bucket. Catalina foothills with possession. The Mountain Lions lead 12 to 9 with 3:40 left in the first. The Falcons are called with a travel. The Mountian Lions turn it over as the Falcons regain possession. Isaiah Gill with another steal and the Mountain Lions get the ball. Isaiah Gill turns it over back to the Falcons.  The Falcons turn it over with the pass out of bounds. Isaiah Gill gets fouled and is shooting two at the line. Gill makes both. The Falcons miss and Isaiah Gill gets the rebound, he drives the lane and kicks it out but gets fouled on the pass. The Mountain Lions inbound the ball. The shot doesn’t fall and is rebounded by Logan Purdy for the Falcons. Van Amburg kicks out to Luke Franco and he drives baseline and it’s tied up for a jump ball. Mountain View turns the ball over 53 seconds left in the quarter. Jack Van Amburg is fouled and will go to the line. He knocks down both free throws. Mountain View misses but they recover the rebound. Isaiah Gill kicks it to Mykael Nunez who knocks down the three point shot. Jack Van Amburg finds Luke Franco who gets fouled on the way up. Luke Franco knocks down the first but misses the second. He recovers his own rebound, kicks it out to Van Amburg who misses a three. The rebound by Daniel Anumba and the Mountain Lions lead 17-12 at the end of the first quarter.

SECOND QUARTER

To start the second quarter Jack Van Amburg knocks down the three, Falcons get the ball back and Luke Franco knocks it in off the glass. Colin McCalley with the rebound for the Mountain Lions  and Isaiah Gill drives to the basket but misses and the Mountain Lions get the rebound and make the second chance bucket.  Falcons are called for an offensive foul , Mountain Lions get the ball back. Colin McCalley gets the ball in the post and goes up but it’s blocked, Falcons get the ball. Falcons miss the three and Daniel Anumba gets the rebound. Anumba takes it all the way and makes the layup and is fouled on the play. Anumba knocks down the free throw. Colin McCalley with a three pointer off the backboard for the Mountain Lions.  Jacks Van Amburg  drives to the lane and knocks down the easy layup 29-20 Falcons Trail with five minutes left.

Isaiah Gill with a steal, his pass is deflected by Van Amburg but then a traveling violation turn over for Catalina foothills. Mykael Nunez passes to Cesar Feria and he knocks down the three. Mountain Lions with a steal, Colin McCalley misses and the Falcons recover the rebound and miss, Nunez with a rebound and a timeout is called. Cesar Feria misses the midrange rebounded by Logan Purdy,  Mykael Nunez with a big block Mountian Lions take possession but turn it over. Luke Franco in the corner but misses a three.  The ball is knocked out of bounds, Falcons ball. Isaiah Gill with another steal and drives to the basket but misses the shot, Falcons get the rebound. Jack Van Amburg gets fouled on the way up. He makes both. 32-22 with one minute left. Logan Purdy blocks the shot attempt by the Mountain Lions but misses on the other end. The Lions miss but get fouled on the way up. They make 1 of 2. Van Amburg makes the layup and that’s the half.

Third Quarter

Mountain View starts with the ball and Daniel Anumba misses but gets his own rebound and makes the shot. Mykael Nunez knocks down the tough jumper on the following possession. Catalina Foothills turns it over on a bad pass. Colin McCalley takes it all the way and makes the layup. Daniel Anumba with another rebound and passes it to Isaiah Gill who kicks it out to Mykael Nunez but the Falcons knock it out of bounds.

Feria with the ball, he goes up makes the jumper 41-26 Mountain View with six minutes left in the quarter. The Falcons are moving the ball around Van Amburg dribbles, shoots the three and misses, Mykael Nunez with the rebound. Cat foot regains possession and Luke Franco knocks down the corner three. Colin McCauley misses, Isaiah Gill gets the rebound and sinks it for two. Mountian View regains possession and Anumba gets fouled on the way up. He goes 1 for 2 at the line. Luke Franco with the tip in for the falcons 44-34 Mountain View leads.

Mountain View drives down an Mykael Nunez score for two points. Mountain Lions get a steal and Daniel Anumba with some nice post foot work gets the bucket. Colin McCalley gets fouled on the shot. He makes both and MV leads 50-34.

Falcons with the ball with 2 min left in the 3rd Mountain View regains possession after a big block but then gets called for a traveling violation. The Falcons miss and Mykael Nunez gets the rebound. Isaiah Gill drives and misses the layup. Rebound by Colin Mccalley and he’s fouled. He makes the first and misses the second. Luke Franco with the rebound. After a missed shot the Mountain Lions regain possession. Mountain Lions miss the last second heave and take a 53-36 lead into the fourth quarter.

Fourth Quarter

Falcons start with possession and miss a three. Daniel Anumba rebounds. MV calls a timeout before a three second violation can be called. Anumba receives the inbound and goes up with a floater and draws the foul on the make. He sinks the free throw to complete the three point play and then gets a steal on the following possession.

Mykael Nunez misses and Luke Franco gets the rebound. The Falcons miss and Daniel Anumba tips the rebound to his teammate. Mountain Lions with the ball now up by 20 with six minutes left and Mykael Nunez is fouled on the shot. He goes 1 for 2. Cam Storie finds Luke Franco in the corner and he knocks down the three.  Mountain View misses the layup and the Falcons get the ball back. Van Amburg makes the layup and draws the foul. He misses and the ball gets knocked out of bounds. Falcons inbound and Cam Storie knocks down the three. Closing the gap 57-44.

Daniel Anumba is fouled and makes both free throws. Cam Storie sinks both free throws after being fouled the following possession. Feria drives the lane for the easy layup. Timeout Mountain View. 61-46 with 3:24 left in the fourth quarter. Falcons miss and who other than Daniel Anumba with a rebound. Colin McCalley called with an offensive foul. Isaiah Gill gets a steal, passes it to Anumba who then passes it to Colin McCalley for the layup. 66-48 with two minutes left and both teams put in their benches.

Xavi Valenzuela takes advantage and knocks down the three for the falcons. Falcons get the ball back but Rocky Flores steals it back for the Mountain Lions. Armando Santa Cruz cuts for the open layup and the mountain lions will win 70-51.
