Cienega With A Dominant Win Over Buena

First Quarter

Buena controls the tip and Gabriel Padilla knocks down the three. Kristian Del Rio dribbles up the ball and Cienega misses their three-point attempt Jackson Moore gets a steal but the ball gets knocked out of bounds by Buena. Bobby Baltierrez gets the rebound for Cienega and Jackson Moore drives the lane for two. Another steal for Cienega and they score the easy layup. Cienega up 4 to 3. Thomas Welker misses but gets his own rebound, Ricardo Brooks with the ball Buena misses and a Cienega recovers. Bobby Baltierrez for the three for Cienega. Buena answers back with a three-pointer.  Bobby Baltierrez comes back with a two. Buenas three-point attempt is no good, Cienega Ball. Jackson Moore handles the ball for Cienega. He drives a lane and is fouled. Cienega inbounds Jackson Moore misses the three-point attempt. Cienega gets the ball back and Jaden Rodgers hits a three. Jaden Rodgers gets the rebound on the Buena miss and he passes to Austin Tritschler and he goes up and makes the layup while drawing the foul. He sinks the free throw to complete the three point play. Buena ball and  Gabriel Padilla goes up and is fouled by Jackson Moore. He misses both free throws. Austin Tritschler knocks down a three for Cienega.

Steven Wambach answers back with a three for Buena. Cienega currently leads 18-8.

Thomas Welker at the line for Buena and he makes both free throws. 18-10 Cienega up. Joseph Thomas with a deep three for the Colts. Jaden Rodgers pins Thomas Welkers shot against the glass and the Bobcats are going the other way. The Colts regain possession on a missed attempt and Joseph Thomas again with the three. Cienega with the last shot of the quarter and Jackson Moore sinks the three at the buzzer. Cienega with a 21-16 lead at the end of the first

Second quarter

Joseph Thomas with another deep three and he is feeling it for the Colts. Kristian Del Rio with a layup for the Bobcats. Cienega regains possession and Louis Roberts makes the two through contact. Colts ball and Thomas Welker is tied up with Del Rio for a jump ball. Cienega regains possession and Kristian Del Rio knocks down the three, Bobcats lead 28-19.

Thomas Welker goes up and is fouled on the shot. He hits both free throws. Bobby Baltierrez with a three for Cienega. Welker misses his three point attempt and Del Rio gets the rebound. Louis Roberts gets fouled and goes to the line. He goes 1 for 2. Colts advance the ball and Thomas Welker makes a 15 footer and gets fouled on the shot. He completes the three point play. Buena ties up the ball and gets possession. They miss and Bobby Baltierrez gets the rebound but Gabriel Padilla intercepts a pass and finds Thomas Welker for two. Thomas Welker blocks the Cienega shot attempt but the Bobcats get the rebound and Roberts is headed to the line after getting fouled. Timeout Buena, Cienega leads 32-26.

Louis Roberts misses both and Buena rebounds the ball. Austin Tritschler rebounds the Buena miss and finds Jackson Moore for the three. Colts with the ball and Thomas Welker draws another foul and makes 1 of 2. Cienega turns over the ball on a travel. Buena commits the same violation giving the ball back to the Bobcats. Jackson Moore makes them pay as he knocks down another deep three. Bobcats back up by 11. Buena turns it over on a 10 second violation. Jackson Moore is on fire as he knocks down another three pointer. Welker responds on the other end with a layup. Jaden Rodgers is fouled and he makes 1 of 2 at the line.  Buena fouled with 1.2 seconds left in the half and Steven Wambach misses both. Cienega leads 42-29 at the half.

Third quarter.

Cienega starts with the ball and turns it over on an offensive foul. Jaden Rodgers steals the ball back for the Bobcats. Kristian Del Rio misses but Bobby Baltierrez gets the rebound and the put back. Baltierrez gets a steal on the following possession and scores on a layup. Another Cienega steal by Jaden Rodgers but the Bobcats miss and Ricardo Brooks gets the rebound and scores on a jumper. Del Rio answers with a corner three. Cienega regains possession and Austin Tritschler knocks down two free throws after getting fouled. Eli Avechuco finds Thomas Welker for the two point score. Ricardo Brooks rebounds the Bobcat miss and Steven Wambach hits the corner three for the Colts. 51-37 Cienega leads with 3:20 left in the third quarter. Cienega takes a timeout. Welker rebounds a miss by Del Rio and Wambach hits another three for the Colts. 51-40 Cienega still with the lead. Nate Nichols drives baseline and scores the layup. Cienega rebounds a Buena miss and Bobby Baltierrez drives the lane scoring the layup. Thomas Welker hits a floater for the colts. 55-42 Cienega leads by thirteen going into the fourth.

Fourth Quarter

Eli Avechuco scores on the opening possession for the Colts. They trail by 11 points. Austin Tritschler answers with a corner three. Thomas Welker with a layup for the Colts. Jaden Rodgers finds Austin Tritschler for another three. Jaden Rodgers rebounds a Buena miss but the Bobcats turn it over back to Buena. Cienega regains possession and Bobby Baltierrez sinks the three. Baltierrez with a reverse layup on the following possession Cienega now up by 20 with a score of 66-46. Colts inbound the ball, Wambach misses Cienega going the other way. Tritschler misses a three and Baltierrez is fouled on the rebound. Baltierrez with the twelve footer on the inbound. Rodgers misses on the three Buena gets the rebound. 1:50 left in the game and the Cienega student section begins the “Load The Buses” chant as Cienega leads 70-51. Kristian Del Rio with the steal and he finds Jackson Moore for the three. Welker puts down a nice dunk at the end but Cienega will walk away with a 73-57 win over the Buena Colts.
